I was super happy when the rooster that we saved died. or ran away. or whatever happened to him, I don't really care, I was just happy to sleep again. that was until some neighbor not so far away got a new rooster. now I don't sleep again, and i type in lower case cuz i don't care. Remember when Rachel on friends said, "I wish that rooster were dead"? ya, I'm with her on that one.
Oh, btw, I guess i'm trying to say I'm tired.
Can I just take a moment to brag about my senior project coming up this April? Rocky Horror Picture Show baby! We had auditions this past weekend, SO FUN. I took a hilarious video of all of the auditionees doing the time warp. I'll post it just as soon as I'm sure I won't be sued.

As promised, Zucchini Blossoms!!!!!!!!! We were at the Kea'au outdoor market the other day and our go-to awesome -gives you free veggies- lady had zucchini blossoms! They were only $1.50 for a big bundle and I've seen them prepared before on Chopped, so I thought why not.
I used this recipe but chose to do the stuffed version with mozzarella and basil. They were SO SO good. I can't wait to try them again.
There's a new science building being built right now at the middle school I work at and the kids get to make murals on the boards keeping them out. They have some serious skillz.
Not sure what kind of monkey this is, but it's adorable.
This weekend, we also went to Hawi to pick oranges. We responded to a post on Craigslist to come and pick as many free oranges as we want as long as we share with the cute little old lady. She was cool. She had wild baby boars as pets.
We were there for HOURS. We picked SO MANY ORANGES. And cuz she liked us, she let as at her lemon tree too. Score.

Oh, and before you say I haven't posted my Pinterest Diaries... you're right, I haven't. But I did make these.

ReplyDelete2. I *LOVE* Epicurious recipes. They're my favorite recipe site. I can't wait to try them with the beer. I usually toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper and a bit of corn meal and grill them on stove top. Sadly our zucchini crop blew this year. The butternut made up for it though.
3. Another thing you can do if you have that same style grill top- the same muffin tin eggs, but put them in a canning ring on the grill. Put the ring on the grill, pour the egg in and cook. It's perfect for english muffins and easy to do one at a time.
